Here's all the newest, freshest, best-est things in Children's Ministry at Eagle Church of the Nazarene! Check it out!

KidCore has started!
I am sooo excited!! This is going to be sooo cool!
The purpose of KidCore is to introduce potential skills and potential talents that may one day build into a potential area of ministry as the child matures.
Additionally, the child immediately applies what they are learning. For nine weeks they use what they are learning in some other area of children's ministries. At the end of the nine weeks, we will have a special service entirely put on through what these kids have been learning. That's right! In the 10th week parents and family will be invited to come worship with these kids in their own service!
Here is how it works:
Kids sign up for a "class." This year we have three classes.
Puppets 101 (OK)
In this class, third, fourth and fifth graders will learn the basics of puppetry. The goal is to be able to put on a skit for the KidCore Finale.
Worship 101
In this class, all ages of kids will learn what worship is, why we do it and the "hows" to do it. They will learn songs, motions, moves and as much worship theory as we can pack in. The goal is to be able to lead worship during the KidCore Finale.
WTD 101
In this class, all ages will learn Word, Tech and Drama. These are ways we use to spread God's message without music. They will learn about a selected passage or book of Scripture. They will learn the basics of using a soundboard and making a Keynote presentation. They will learn the basics of acting and the stage. Sound like a lot? It is. Next year, the goal is to split this class into additional classes (as qualified volunteers make themselves known and apply). The goal of this class is to be able to do a skit, run the soundboard and deliver parts of the Word during the KidCore Finale.
Whew. After the KidCore Finale, kids will sign up for one of the above classes they have not been. Since there are two "semesters" this year before summer, the older kids will only be able to participate in two of the three classes while the younger kids will be able to complete both classes. Puppets is rated OK for Older Kids Only.
Next year, the goal is to offer four classes that the kids rotate through each semester. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email Pastor Dave.
